4 Food Companies Creating Delicious Content

Irish food companies have been making delicious food for years, but it’s only recently that they’ve started to create content that is worthy of that food. After getting inspired by the Taste of Dublin, we wanted to spotlight a few companies that are getting the content recipe right. These brands are mixing in a dash of humour, adding a sprinkle of personality and sharing their knowledge in a way that consumers eat up.

Strong Roots: How to make the story of frozen food fun and compelling? Most companies aren’t up to the challenge but Strong Roots is defying the odds. Their Adventures of a Food Truck series gets it right. The videos are funny, relatable and teach audiences a bit about Strong Roots products as well as some cooking knowledge. We love what they’re doing, their frozen ripened avocados are revolutionising our kitchen and we’re mad for their quinoa burgers. Great work all around.

Tayto: The Irish love their crisps and Tayto is one of the best out there. In addition to making a delicious crisp, the company is doing a stellar job on Twitter. They have over 14,000 followers and interact with their customers in an engaging way. In addition to tweeting out humorous snippets, they also do an amazing job of retweeting their customer’s mentions and adding their own commentary.

The Happy Pear: The Happy Pear, a Greystones-based restaurant and food line, is winning fans the world over with their appealing visual content. But their platform of choice is Instagram. There is the usual gorgeous food photography, but they take it a step further by broadcasting via Instagram stories. Whether it’s their daily dip in the sea, testing recipes for an upcoming cookbook or behind-the-scenes content from the café, the Happy Pear guys know what they’re doing.

Nobó: This Irish brand of dairy-free ice cream has an excellent Facebook page, chock full of delicious-looking pics, customer competitions and product announcements. They do a great job of posting fresh content, letting their fans know what events they will be at, and sharing recipes. It’s no wonder they have over 27,000 fans on their FB page.

What are your favourite examples of Irish food companies that are creating great content? We’d love to see them. And if you need help with your content strategy, food company or not, be sure to drop us a line. We’re always hungry for new work.
